Fenix WF05E ATEX Intrinsically Safe LED Torch
The Fenix WF05E is an intrinsically safe torch for use in locations that are at risk of explosion (excluding underground mines) and it has passed the necessary tests and was certified by IECEx, ATEX and CSA.
Thus this product can be safely used in Zone 1 and Zone 2, where there is explosive gas mixture in classes IIA, IIB and IIC and the WF05E is also rated for combustible dust areas; Zone 21 and Zone 22 , such as petroleum, chemical and textile industries, fire controlling, metallurgical areas, electric power stations and areas, paper producing plants, etc.
It uses a Cree XP-G2 LED to provide a maximum output of 85 lumens and also offers two other brightness levels. The light is operated by twisting the head clockwise to turn it on and anti clockwise to turn it off, while a half twist more anticlockwise will help avoid accidental activation. The head is twisted on and off in quick succession to cycle through the three modes.
The body is made from durable high strength and oxidation resistant aluminium while the removable pocket clip is made from anti-static plastic and is coloured orange to aid the visibility of the torch.
The IP68 rating means that this torch is dustproof as well as waterproof and can be submerged underwater up to 2 metres.
Powered by two AAA alkaline batteries, the WF05E has a run-time of up to 11 hours, 30 minutes on the highest setting. Because of the intended use of the torch only alkaline batteries can be used with this torch and to maintain product certification you must use either Energizer E92, Duracell MN2400 or Panasonic LR03XWA AAA alkaline batteries.
