Nitecore UI2 Dual Bay Li-ion Battery Charger
The Nitecore UI2 is a lithium-ion and IMR battery charger with independent dual charging bays.
It is suitable for charging 10340, 10350, 10440, 10500, 12340, 12500, 12650, 13450, 13500, 13650, 14430, 14500, 14650, 16500, 16340 (RCR123), 16650, 17350, 17500, 17650, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 20700, 21700, 22500, 22650, 25500, 22650, 25500, 26500 and 26650 lithium-ion/IMR type batteries.
The included micro USB cable plugs into the micro USB port at end of the charger, and the standard USB at the other end of the cable plugs into a USB port on a computer, power bank, 5 V solar panel, USB car charger or USB mains charger and the LED indicator will light up for 1 second to show power is being provided.
Insert either one or two compatible batteries with the polarity the correct way round to begin charging. The LED indicators above each bay will begin to steadily flash in turn to show charging progress, and once fully charged all three lights will be solid and the charger will automatically terminate the charging process. If the battery is inserted the wrong way, or the battery is short circuited (faulty) all three indicators will flash to notify you of an error.
A low charging current is available for batteries that are below 2.9 V in order to slowly being charging them to prevent damage. If a battery below 2.9 V is inserted the charged will automatically detect this and enter the low current charging mode of 100 mA. Batteries over 2.9 V will be charged in the standard charging mode with a maximum current of 1000 mA.
The UI2 can activate over-discharged lithium-ion batteries that have a protection circuit. After being insert in the charger it will detect the over-discharged battery and attempt to revive it before charging. If it is detected as damaged and unable to revive, then none of the LED indicators will illuminate and the battery should be immediately removed from the charger.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please DO NOT charge unprotected 0 V over-discharged lithium-in batteries as it may result in fire or even battery explosion.
