Mini Maglite Spectrum Series Green 2-Cell AA LED Torch
Part of the Spectrum Series, the Mini Maglite 2 AA green LED torch features the classic design of the regular Mini Maglite 2 AA torch but it has a green light output instead of white.
As with red light, green light is also good for protecting the natural night vision of your eyes and reduces eye strain in low light situations, but it’s also great for nature watching as typically animals, insects and fish don’t react to green light like they would a white light. Green light is also the most visible colour spectrum to the human eye, and as such this light can be seen from up to a mile away.
It works in the same way as the classic design, simply insert the two AA alkaline batteries by unscrewing the tail cap and tightening it back up fully, and then twist the head of the torch clockwise to turn it on in a circle of focused light or continue to loosen the head to provide a slightly in a diffused flood light. Turn it off by turning the head anti clockwise and fully tightening the head.
It can also access different light outputs by twisting the head on and off in quick succession to cycle through high (100%), low , blink and SOS modes.
To distinguish it physically from the original, the Spectrum 2 AA features a green tail cap, but the rest remains the same with water resistance to IPX4 standard and impact resistance from a height of 1 metre, all housed in a lightweight yet strong aluminium alloy case.
