Fenix WT16R Rechargeable LED Torch
The Fenix WT16R is a multifunctional work light that features a rechargeable battery and is capable of spot or flood beams that both deliver a maximum output of 300 lumens.
Two Cree XP-E2 LEDs provide the spot output with high, mid and low modes, while the COB LED provides the flood output with high, low and a yellow flash mode. The yellow flash mode is perfect for use as a warning or hazard light, which when combined with the strong magnets on the back makes it the ideal safety light to attach to a railing of a work area, a vehicle or other metallic surface.
The WT16R is powered by the built-in rechargeable 2000 mAh lithium polymer battery pack which is charged up by firstly lifting up the dust cover, and then inserting the included USB-C cable into the USB-C port. The other end of the cable then plugs into a USB-A port or a USB adaptor and the charging indicator will turn red to show charging in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 1 hour, 40 minutes when using a 5 V, 2 A output.
A single button is on the side of the torch and controls all functions. Press and hold the button for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on and off. Once the light is turned on it will either be in spot or flood at the last brightness setting used and each single press will cycle through low, mid and high in spot, or low, high and yellow flash in flood. To change between the spot and flood hold the button for 1.2 seconds while the light is on.
To prevent accidental activation in transit the WT16R has a lockout mode that can be activated by two quick presses of the button while the light is off, and can be unlocked again in the same way. Two blinks of the low flood will indicate that the light has been locked/unlocked.
An LED indicator sits above the button and lights up to show the battery status for 5 seconds when the button is pressed once with the light off. It will show either a solid green, green flashing, solid red or red flashing light. A low battery voltage warning function is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level when the voltage drops below the preset level. Once it reaches low output it will blink red to remind you to charge your battery.
Intelligent overheat protection will automatically downshift the brightness slightly if the torch is used continuously in high mode for over 5 minutes, and once the torch has cooled it will allow the user to reselect the higher outputs.
The large pocket clip allows for easy attachment to clothing or a back pack for sturdy carrying and a lanyard also provides extra safety when the torch is being carried in the hand. The tail and rear magnet is also ideal for handsfree work when using the white modes, and thanks to the rectangular design the light emission is a uniform anti-glare beam that will concentrate the flood onto the work area.

Tested in laboratory conditions to ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard using the built-in 2000 mAh lithium polymer rechargeable battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% – 80%. Results may vary between torch, battery and environments.
