Coast HX5R Rechargeable LED Torch
The Coast HX5R Rechargeable LED torch has a maximum output of 620 lumens and is compact for everyday carry.
Unlike other coast models, the HX5R has a side switch rather than a tail switch and allows you to easily cycle through high, low and off with each press. There is also a strobe function that can be accessed with the torch on or off by quickly double pressing the button.
Using Coast’s Pure Beam Focusing Optic System the beam can be focused between a spot beam with a range of up to 192 metres, and a flood beam with no dark rings typically associated with focusing torches, by sliding the head of the torch backwards and forwards.
The dual power system means that the HX5R can be powered by the included Coast 700 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which is more economical in the long run, or it can use one non-rechargeable CR123 lithium metal that can be swapped out with the lithium-ion battery by unscrewing the head end of the torch, which is perfect as a back up if you run out of charge and are away from a power source.
Charging the Lithium-ion battery is super easy, as it features an inbuilt USB connector on the tail of the torch which can be revealed by unscrewing the tail cap cover. The USB-A connector of the torch plugs directly into a USB port, or can be plugged into the USB port of the provided cable, which then goes into a USB port to provide extra length and flexibility. The charging light on the tail will go red to show charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete.
A two way pocket clip allows easy attachment to clothing, backpacks and the peak of a cap.
